The absolute best "fast food" noodles in Christchurch. Absolutely packs the containers, lots of sauce, tons of flavour and all for prices that we haven't seen since 2001.

Travelling through Christchurch and wanted Chinese. Got half dozen wontons, sweet and sour chicken and noodles and honey chicken with rice. Total was $35. Amazing quality for the cheap price and definitely won’t go hungry with the portion sizes. Will definitely be back next time. Recommend.

Honestly the most delicious Chinese meal I've ever had - the food is cooked right in front of your eyes, and the honey chicken and fried rice was delicious. Spring rolls the size of your thumb only 50 cents apiece, portions were large! Ordered a noodle, fried rice, spring rolls, and fried chicken - it was enough for 4 people. Owner was just opening up at 12:30, the food took some time to prepare but that was the only negative thing. Definitely worth the wait!!

I’m as much of a stir fry aficionado as a kiwi bloke can be — and let me tell you: these guys absolutely nail it. My go-to is the honey chicken noodles, which is a 10/10. The noodles are nice and springy, with a satisfying bite to them; it’s got that exquisite ‘wok hei’ (slight charred smokiness) flavour in the stir fry; the dish is absolutely STACKED with delicious, double-fried chicken. The sweetness (and ever so slight tanginess) of the sauce gives a beautiful contrast to the subtly flavoured wok-charred noodles; and the veges round the whole thing out nicely. And it’s so staggeringly cheap ($13.50 as of mid-2025)! So rare to find that kind of value these days. Many reviews here complain about the wait-time — and it’s true, if you go at peak hours (eg 6-8pm fri-sat) you’re probably going to have to wait a while. But the reviewers suggesting the restaurant should hire more staff don’t know what they’re talking about. They’d need more staff AND more equipment and work space (because the woks are already running at max capacity with their current staff). And if they brought all that in, they wouldn’t be able to keep the prices so low. You can’t have it both ways. Just order at off-peak hours, or content yourself with waiting. Because trust me, it IS worth the wait.
